This combined with the Indian Ocean 's cool sea breezes maintains Malindi’s perfect 'never too hot, never too cold' climate. Nearly every day of the year is a perfect 12hr day, with sunrise a little after 6am, and sunsets at about 6pm. It can get a little chilly at night time so bring a light sweater just in case!

Oct - April: Relatively hot and humid due to the north-easterly winds. (Jan-April - Hottest)
May - Sept: Wet and fresher due to the south-easterly winds. (July -Aug - Coldest)

Rains
May-June: Big Rains heavy downfalls that last a few hours.
November: Typically the month of the short rains/storms which last only a few minutes.
