The Malindi and Kenyan coast is home to some of the world’s most spectacular reefs and fishing opportunities. You can sail the coast line from Lamu down to Zanzibar (a truly once in a life time adventure!) or even go body boarding or surfing! You can Scuba Dive or Snorkel the Malindi Marine National Park, or take a glass bottom boat ride out to the reefs. The deep sea fishing here is amazing - particularly popular for those hoping to catch Sail fish like Marlin and other big game. Below are the most popular activities:
Day Deep Sea Fishing Trips off
the Malindi CoastTo date Kenya holds six world records for big game catches, and is world renowned for it's excellent sail fish with common species being Tuna, Waho, Sharks, Dorado, Marlin, and Sailfish Broad Bill. There are a few deep sea fishing charters, but one that is a favourite is "Kingfisher - Kenya Sport Fishing" (go to site). The owners are friendly and the crew are hard working, excitable and knowledgeable. After the day fishing the club has a new bar overlooking the ocean to relax and boast about your days fishing with other group, crew and staff members. |

Snorkelling & Scuba Diving Kenya in
Malindi Marine National ParkThe Malindi Marine National Park provides a stunning selection of marine life and beautiful coral. Snorkelling is the most cost effective way to interact with marine life and is very relaxing with no prior experience required. Scuba divers love this site as it provides a variety of terrain with the main sites being Moray Reef, The Canyon, Brain Coral, Drummers Reef and Mida Wreck. "Aqua Ventures" - a PADI associate (go to site) is a favourite, but there are other companies who take out trips. |
